Parts of the rural Laois road leading to a growing primary school are "no-go" for drivers, a local councillor has said.

Fianna Fáil Cllr Seamus McDonald wants Laois County Council to fix the road in Ballyfin, at Barnashrone and at Cloonagh.

He tabled a motion to the March meeting of Borris-in-Ossory Mountmellick Municipal District.

The council's road maintenance crew is to carry out the road repairs "in the coming weeks".
