The busy M7 motorway was closed on Tuesday morning northbound at Junction 15 Ballybrittas in Laois.
Gardai were at the scene at 11:20am dealing with an incident. Traffic was diverted off the motorway at Junction 17 Ballybrittas towards the the Old Dublin Rd (R445) before rejoining the motorway at Junction 14 Monasterevin.

The road reopened around 11:40am after the incident was cleared. It is not yet known if injuries have been reported.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland Traffic reported the crash on the M7 at Monasterevin just before 10:00am today.
M7 UPDATE: The M7 is closed from J15 eastbound. Please use alternative routes.

The M7 motoray was closed last week after a truck crashed at Junction 16, Portlaoise. Traffic was diverted through Portlaoise town causing long delays.
