Plans for a second motorway service station at Mayfield, Monasterevin are due to lodged soon.

The application, which is in the name of Conor Furey and Associates Ltd, is due to be lodged with Kildare County Council in the coming weeks.

In a planning notice published earlier this week, it was revealed the project, if approved, would include a 16 pump forecourt, two storey amenity building containing a shop and off licence, food court over two levels including a restaurant/cafe and communal seating, two meeting rooms, outdoor seating and play areas, drive-thru facility, 147 car parking spaces, 33 HGV parking spaces, six coach parking spaces, 11 motorcycle parking spaces, and nine electric car charge points.
