Irish Water tests may affect water supply in Mountmellick
Irish Water has said that disruptions to water supply may occur in the Acragar area of Mountmellick this week due to tests it will carry out.
Step Testing will be carried out in the area overnight from November 22 from 10pm untill 7am on the morning of November 23.
Performing a Step Test is one of the most effective ways of identifying high leakage within a water distribution network.
It is usually carried out at night since this is the time when consumption is lowest and most stable - it also means less disruption to consumers.
