The floods haven't knocked the Christmas spirit out of Mountmellick and this weekend promises great festive events.

The Choir will be singing carols on Saturday December 16 in the Credit Union from 11am to 1pm . Refreshments served. All welcome along. Monies will be collected for the Christmas Lights committee and the Christmas tree committee who brighten up the town so much at Christmas. The choir will sing at the carol service in St Joseph’s Church on Friday December 22 at 7.30pm and at noon Mass on Christmas day. St Joseph’s Sunday choir director and organist is Audrey Whelan.

A wonderful evening of music and song rounds off the weekend  in St Joseph’s Church on Sunday December 17 with the Three Tenors in concert. Tickets €25 available from the parish office.
