The Rock GAA Club in Mountmellick will host one of its big annual fundraisers this weekend.
The Rock GAA Monster Auction is a great day out for bargain hunters and those in the market for some top quality products at competitive prices.
The funds raised will go back into the GAA club juveniles to help with the club’s running costs and the cost of equipment for the young up and coming members.
This is the fifth year of the auction which has proved to be a huge success for the club with the local community getting behind the day and finding a fun new way to shop.
Auction lovers from all over the country have grown to love the day too travelling to attend over the last few years.
Some of the items for sale on the day will include turf, farm supplies and fodder, wardrobes, electrics, hard furniture, bric-a-brac, household items and much more.
Items for sale can still be dropped to the clubhouse or club members can help with the collection if needed.
The Monster Auction will start at 2.00pm on Sunday, November 18 and continue until everything is sold.
The auction takes place in the Rock GAA Clubhouse on the Emo Road out of Mountmellick.
The club recently held a Halloween fancy dress party and raised funds for The Irish Lung Fibrosis Association And The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre.
The night was a huge success with all the locals turning out in their best costumes.
Through an online fundraiser, a collection at Supervalu in Mountmellick and proceeds on the night of the fancy dress party the club raised an amazing €5,200 for the two charities. The committee wishes to thank everyone for their continued generosity.
