Christmas jumper designs by Little Mink Crafts in aid of the Ben and Jake Connolly Trust
A quirky idea to dress up your family's elf doll in a cosy Christmas jumper is taking off and it will benefit a Laois charity.
Dawn Thomas of Little Mink Crafts loves to knit and crochet as a hobby. Dawn came up with the idea of knitting her own little Christmas jumpers for the famous elf dolls this year.
The cosy, cute designs are unique and will keep the elf warm as they get up to all sorts of mischief over the Christmas season.
The jumpers are being sold for €5 each with both Dawn and her niece Charlene O'Brien from Mountmellick donating €1 to the Ben and Jake Connolly Trust. This means for every jumper sold, €2 will go to the local cause.
“If you are from Mountmellick it is the first charity that pops into your head, it’s for a great cause and if demand grows I can get out the sewing machine,” Charlene said.
Charlene has said that Dawn is ‘flat out’ trying to keep up with demand as there has been great support from people to get behind the cause.
