A young man has died after being shot in what is understood to be a gangland-related attack.
The incident occurred shortly before 7pm on Saturday at a home on Barry Drive in Finglas, north Dublin.
The man, in his early 20s, was treated at the scene by emergency personnel before being taken to Connolly Hospital Blanchardstown.
He was later pronounced dead.
Gardai and emergency services are at the scene, which has been preserved for a forensic and technical examination.
The coroner has been notified, gardai said.
