The Government plan had been the subject of local opposition.
The incident has been described as worrying by many including former Government minister Charlie Flanagan TD who condemned the suspected actions.
Unacceptable & worrying incident that should be condemned by all. There’s a seemingly malicious pattern, Moville, Rooskey & now Rosscahill. Anybody with information should assist Gardai in investigations. https://t.co/1rCo5r539B
