NCT testers release picture of car that failed 'dangerous' in warnings to others

A car which presented for NCT inspection has sparked the testing service to warn other motorists of the importance of regular vehicle maintenance.

A vehicle arrived for testing to a centre with a a tire that raised serious concerns with inspectors.

The tyre in question was deemed unfit for road use, placing not only the driver but also other road users at a heightened risk of accidents. Consequently, the vehicle received a "fail dangerous" result.

The NCT, a mandatory inspection for vehicles in many countries, serves as a crucial measure to ensure the safety and roadworthiness of vehicles on the streets. 

A spokesperson for the service wrote online: "Most vehicles presented for their NCT are well maintained by their drivers, but some aren’t which is why the NCT is so important.

"This tyre was fitted to a vehicle that presented for its NCT, this places the driver & other road users at risk."
