Tributes pour in for 'beautiful angel' tragically killed in Tipperary crash

There is widespread sadness in Tipperary following the tragic death of Leah O’Meara, who was tragically killed in a road crash yesterday.

Leah was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision, after the car she was a passenger in crashed into another car.

The collision occurred on the R503 at Rearcross, near Nenagh, at approximately 6.45pm on Thursday, February 15.

Since the tragic news broke out, tributes have been pouring in for the 15-year-old.

“My beautiful baby girl,” wrote Leah’s sister, Katie, as she shared a picture of the two of them.

A family friend remembered her as an intelligent young lady.

“I had the privilege of spending 2 weeks over Christmas with Leah who was an intelligent, funny and very pretty young lady and at just 15 years old, she will be terribly missed,” he wrote in tribute.

“Rest in peace beautiful Angel. I can’t believe im writing this she was the best looking girl that ever walked with a heart made of pure gold. God help her mother Father and her sisters give them comfort and her family my heart goes out to ye,” another friend wrote in tribute.

Leah’s death brings to 25 the number of fatalities on Irish roads this year.

Gardaí in Nenagh are appealing for witnesses following the fatal collision.

The three other passengers, who were in the car with Leah, as well as the woman driving the second car were all taken to Limerick University Hospital.
