Dublin driver arrested as €670,000 is seized from his car

A driver has been arrested and over €670,000 have been seized as part of an ongoing drugs related operation. 

The man, aged in his late 30s, was stopped in Dublin on Tuesday, February 20. 

Gardai from the Donnybrook Community Engagement Area stopped his vehicle in the Mespil Road area of Dublin 4 at approximately 10am.

Approximately €672,000 was seized during the course of the search.  

A spokesperson for the gardai said: "This seizure is as a result of ongoing investigations into the sale and supply of controlled drugs by Cork County Divisional Drugs Unit based in Midleton and co-operation with the Serious Crime Unit based in Donnybrook, Dublin."

Investigations are ongoing.
