Plush toys sold on Amazon at Christmas recalled due to major choking hazard

Christmas plush toys sold on Amazon have been recalled due to a choking hazard.

According to the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), the QIFU Plush Christmas Gonks Set sold on Amazon are being recalled as sequins can easily detach from all three gonks, producing a small part which a child can put in their mouth and choke on.

Additionally, the seams on the red gonk are too weak and allow access to the internal fibrous filling and an easily tearable internal plastic bag containing small stones/grit.

A child can put the filling and/or stones/grit in their mouth and choke.

The brand is QIFU, the ASIN number is B09B3PDXF3, the barcode is X001EQGH4P, and the Carton number is FBA15H3DGDP9U000008.

There are approximately 66 affected products in the Republic of Ireland.

If you purchased one of these products, please stop use immediately.

You may wish to contact Amazon to see if there are any remedies available to you. This can be done via your user account on Amazon.
