Drivers have been urged to take care due to heavy traffic congestion on several major motorways close to Dublin on Monday morning.
With a heavy rain warning issued for five counties by Met Éireann, drivers have been urged to take extra caution this morning.
Transport Infrastructure Ireland (TII) has warned of delays on M50, M4 and M7 on routes approaching Dublin shortly before 9am.
It urges drivers to proceed with care due to the congestion being experienced.
All the motorways mentioned are busy commuter routes on the way to the capital.
