Dublin Airport looks for public to name bird trapped in Terminal one

Dublin Airport has called for the public to name the small bird which has been living in Terminal one.

Concerns had been raised earlier this week, as reports surfaced of a bird taking residence in Dublin Airport.

Pictures and videos circulating online show the bird to be a starling.

On the peculiar case, a spokesperson for Dublin Airport has said: "We note the concern about the bird currently living in Terminal 1 at Dublin Airport.

"Helping a small (and very speedy!) bird to get out of such a vast and busy building is no easy task. But the airport team is on the case and - in consultation with wildlife and bird experts - a process is underway which will get the bird safely on its way very soon.

"In the meantime, the public can be fully assured that the bird is getting plenty to eat and drink and is healthy."

Dublin Airport took to Twitter this morning to ask the public to name the bird, hinting that "there could be a prize in it".
