Cannabis worth €2.1 million seized during joint operation in Dublin

Revenue officers have seized 105 kgs of herbal cannabis, valued at over €2million in Dublin.

The seizure was made as a result of a joint operation conducted by Revenue’s Customs Service and the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB).

The 105kgs of cannabis is valued at €2.1million.

Two men in their 30’s were arrested by An Garda Síochána and are currently being detained in a West Dublin Garda Station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.

Investigations are ongoing.

This seizure is part of Revenue’s ongoing joint investigations targeting organised crime groups and the importation, sale and supply of illegal drugs.
