US President Joe Biden
Taoiseach Simon Harris has said that he doesn't "need clarity" from US President Joe Biden if he considers himself Irish.
This comes after former Mayor of London and Prime Minister Boris Johnson claims that President Biden told him in confidence that he is "not really Irish."

Biden often makes reference to his Irish roots in his political speeches.
With the Taoiseach set to make a visit to the States this month, he commented on Boris Johnson's claims on Newstalk.
"There are very many pressing and serious issues that of course I want to speak to the president of the United States with, including our diplomatic relations."
"I think one question I definitely don’t need clarity from is that Joe Biden considers himself Irish."
Commenting then on Johnson himself, the Taoiseach said "I think Boris Johnson is a person who seems to be very good at selling books and I hope he is certainly much better at that than he was at being a politician."
