South Eastern Mountain Rescue Association provides a search and rescue service for those who find themselves in difficulty on the mountains of the South East of Ireland.
The South Eastern Mountain Rescue - which is based in Tipperary - received a call from An Garda Síochána just after 11pm on Thursday night to assist in the search for a missing person.
Team members and the Search and Rescue Dog Association (Ireland) responded to the area and searched forest tracks and paths.
The search was resumed on Friday morning with Irish Coast Guard helicopter Rescue 117 joining the search.

The missing person was found, sadly deceased, by a SEMRA/SARDA search party in the early afternoon.
SEMRA added: "Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased at this difficult time."

The area of operation includes, but is not confined to, the Galtees, Comeraghs, Slievenamon, Knockmealdowns, Blackstairs, Slieve Blooms and Ballyhouras.
