Gardaí in Dublin launch investigation as fraudulent parking tickets found on parked cars
Gardaí in Dublin have discovered a number of fraudulent parking fine tickets left on vehicles across Dún Laoghaire recently.
"Could you spot a fraudulent parking ticket?" gardaí said in a Facebook post, where they shared a photo of a fraudulent ticket to help people identify them.
"This convincing fake was just one of many left on cars in Dún Laoghaire earlier this week," gardaí said.
"These tickets are very plausible copies of Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council parking fines. The QR code at the bottom also links to a convincing mirror of the local authority's fines payment site," gardaí added.

The gardaí are currently investigating the matter to identify who placed these fake tickets, and to trace the payments made to this fake fine payment site.
"We ask that you contact us if you have any information that could assist with our investigation into these fake tickets: Dún Laoghaire Garda Station at (01) 666 5000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station," gardaí said.
