The CCPC has warned that the product does not comply with European law requirements

'Please stop using it immediately' stark warning  sent to owners of UVC air purifier lamp

There are approximately 2,459 affected products in the Republic of Ireland

The CCPC have issued a product safety information notice on an Airshield UVC air purifier lamp. 

The product sold by irish-supply.com does not comply with the requirements of the European law (Low Voltage Electrical equipment) regulations 2016. 

The CCPC says health and safety risks cannot be ruled out due to unshielded exposure and the UVC emitting claims made by the product in question.

There are approximately 2,459 of the affected Airshield branded products in the Republic of Ireland. 

Owners of the product have been strongly advised by the CCPC to 'please stop using it immediately'. Those affected can contact Irish Supply to see if any remedies are available to them.
