Driver tries to 'outsmart' NCT with testers left stunned by lethal discovery

The NCT has shared a clip online of a cheeky cover-up one motorist chanced their arm with when bringing their car in for their NCT. 

In an attempt to hide a severe case of rust and wear on their car, one person decided to use servicing stickers to cover the problem. 

Despite trying to "outsmart the system", testers were quick to spot the cover-up and have warned motorists of such attempts to conceal issues when bringing their vehicle in for the NCT.

In a post on social media, the NCT showed the extent of the problem in a video and warned: "When a driver thinks they can outsmart the system with car servicing stickers to hide rust. Rust and wear can lurk beneath the surface. Just like a fresh coat of paint can't mask the wear beneath, safety shouldn't be compromised for appearances."
