Gardaí stand down search for teen boy missing for a week as update issued

A 15-year-old Irish boy who had been the subject of a missing person appeal has been located "safe and well", gardaí have confirmed.

Ryan Sayed - described as being approximately 5 foot 9 inches in height, with brown hair and brown eyes - was reported missing from Lucan, Co. Dublin since Thursday, March 12.

When last seen, Ryan was wearing a navy tracksuit and a black beanie hat.

Gardaí and Ryan's family were "concerned for his well-being" at the time of the appeal. 

In an update issued today, Thursday, a Garda spokesperson said: "An Garda Síochána would like to thank the media for their assistance."
