Laois County Council  saves money with in house website revamp

Laois County Council has launched a new version of its website.

Still at the address, the website will be “easier to navigate and understand for users of all ages” the council CEO John Mulholland has said.

Designed with mobiles in mind, it will be accessible on mobiles, tablets and desktop computers, with BrowseAloud software for users with reading issues or other difficulties.

The website was redesigned inhouse by council staff, and launched at the November council meeting by its designer Cormac Strain.

“For the standard person who wants information on housing or the environment, you can find it much easier than before,” he said.
