Concerns for children's safety as speed ramp policy in Offaly questioned

A busy road in Portlaoise will be closed to traffic on Thursday, February 15 to allow for speed ramps to be put in.

Harpurs Lane in Portlaoise will be closed from the junction where it meets the N80 on the Mountmellick Road in Portlaoise to the Junction with Knockmay Link Road from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Thursday.

The road closure is to allow for the construction of speed ramps outside Schoil Bhride Primary School at Harpurs Lane, Knockmay.
