Laois emergency service called out again but motorway fire dealt with

Emergency services in Laois have been called out to another incident shortly after dealing with a motorway fire on the M7 Dublin Limerick motorway near Portlaoise.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland has reported just after 10am  on Wednesday, May 16 that a fire on the M7 between junctions 15 and 16 has been dealt with. Nobody was injured.

However, a few minutes later, just before 10.30am the County Laois Fire and Rescue Service was dispatched again to an accident on the N80 near Mountmellick.

The Fire Service reported that the second incident was a minor incident involving a vehicle and a horsebox. There were no injuries in what is classed as a minor accident.
