Jason, known by his friends as Jay, was last seen in the popular holiday resort on Saturday evening, May 26, the same evening as the Champions League final.

Taking to social media, friend Shannon Christina McGuinness, wrote: "I can't believe I'm posting this but if anyone has seen or heard from Jason (Gavin) since Saturday can they please contact myself, a member of his family or the guards."

"We are all very worried," she told the Leinster Express, and Shannon appealed for anyone who can help locate Jason to contact his family or gardaí.

Department of Foreign Affairs and Spanish Authorities have been contacted in relation to Jason's situation.
