Burst water main causes outage in Laois town

A burst water main has caused a water outage in parts of Portlaoise. 

The burst water main may cause supply disruptions to Liogard Estate in Portlaoise and surrounding areas on Tuesday. 

Repairs to the burst are expected to be carried out today with an estimated completion time of 2pm on 24 July.

Elsewhere, a second outage may affect people in Cloncarrig and surrounding areas between Portlaoise and Ballyfin. This is expected to be repaired by 2:30pm on 24 July.

Yesterday, a burst water main effected the supply to Main Street, Stradbally. The burst was repaired and supply was restored around 4:30pm.
