The man who died in a car crash on Saturday evening near Killeshin has been named.
Eamon O'Reilly of Cappalug, Killeshin died in a single vehicle crash which occurred shortly before 7.30pm on a local road at Cappalug near Killeshin.
It is understood the van he was driving left the road and struck a ditch. He was the sole occupant of the van. Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene and he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Mr O'Reilly was a dairy farmer who was very involved in the local community.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen, much loved father of Martin, Niamh and Katelyn and adored son of Breda and the late Martin, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, uncle, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his home on Tuesday all day with prayers at 8pm. Removal on Wednesday at 1.30pm to The Holy Cross Church, Killeshin, arriving for Funeral Mass at 2pm. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
