UPDATE: Gardai looking at 'all circumstances' after Louth body find
Gardai are investigating a car hijacking incident which took place in Kildare involving a car with a Laois registration.
It happened when a woman, understood to be from County Laois, was flagged down as she was driving northwards towards a roundabout at Boherphilip, Kill, between 6.40am-6.45am.
The woman, aged in her early 40s, was flagged down by a lone male. The man initially requested a lift and then produced what gardai described as a “knife-like implement”.
The woman was threatened and told leave the vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson (registration 191-LS-192).
The man was wearing a high viz jacket and a navy tracksuit.
He is described as being 5 feet two to three inches tall and aged in his early 20s.
“This was a very serious incident and we are seeking information about it from anyone who saw the incident or has seen the vehicle,” a garda spokesman said.
