Boy fatally injured in car crash.

A 16-year-old boy is dead and four other teenagers injured after the car he was driving struck a wall in Carlow.

Gardaí are investigating the single vehicle fatal road traffic collision that occurred near "The Nine Stones" Mount Leinster, Borris at approximately 5am on Sunday morning. 
The boy was pronounced dead at the scene while the four other male occupants of the car, all late teens, were taken to St Luke's Hospital and Waterford University Hospital. One of the teenagers is believed to be in a serious condition.

This stretch of road is currently closed to facilitate an examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators and local diversions are in place.
