There is huge excitement in a Laois town as RTÉ is set to film the celebrations this St Patrick's Day.
According to the organisers of Mountrath St Patrick's Day Parade, the national braodcaster's cameras will be rolling into town to capture all the celebrations planned on March 17.
Taking to Facebook to share the news, Mountrath parade organisers said this is an opporunity for locals to show off the best the town has to offer.
"This is a HUGE opportunity for us to not only show off Mountrath Town and our community at it's very best but also promote your business, club or group. Please show your support and take part in our parade!" organisers said.
The community in Mountrath is buzzing after huge work has gone into this year's celebrations.
"We have put our whole heart, body and soul into making this year's parade the best it can be but we can't do it without you! We are counting on all local businesses, clubs and groups to take part in our parade and make it one to remember. Down through the years Mountrath has had some of the best parades in the county and it was purely down to those involved. Please show your support and love for our community and enter a float big or small- size doesn't matter!!"
