A long-serving Laois councillor has retired from the HSE Dublin and Midlands Regional Health Forum.
At the recent HSE Dublin and Midlands Regional Health Forum, Cllr Padraig Fleming announced his retirement from Laois County Council and the health forum.
Cllr Fleming has served on Laois County Council since 2009 when he was elected to the Luggacurren Electoral Area. He then returned to represent the Graiguecullen / Portarlington MD in the 2014 local elections.
The Fianna Fáil councillor attended his final Graiguecullen / Portarlington MD meeting on Wednesday, March 18, where he expressed his appreciation for the local community, his colleagues at Laois County Council, and his family for their continued support throughout his very successful political career.

Following his retirement, HSE Dublin and Midlands said Cllr Fleming served the Regional Health Forum "with distinction."
"He has been a highly respected and was a proactive advocate for health services in his community," the organisation stated.
Wishing Cllr Fleming the best in the future, they concluded: "HSE Dublin Midlands sincerely appreciates his contribution and dedication during his time on the Forum and wishes him every success and happiness in his retirement."
