'Doesn't add up' Laois Gardaí discover seven passengers in 5-seater Volvo hatchback

The white Volvo hatchback stopped by a Laois Garda roads policing unit.

Laois Gardaí discovered seven passengers in a 5-seater Volvo hatchback car over the Easter Bank Holiday Weekend, and cracked down on the overcrowding which is against the motoring laws.

The driving incident was reported by Laois Offaly Garda Division on Easter Sunday evening, April 5.

The Gardaí report on their socials that there was "no calculator needed. Doesn't add up. Doesn't end well".

They said that the car was not permitted to proceed on its journey because of the extra passengers, with alternative transport having to be arranged.

Three penalty points were also incurred.
