A busy Laois town centre street has been closed for emergency drain repairs.
The street in Portlaoise is Well Road, a one way street closed from its junction with Bridge Street at the lower end of Main Street.
Well Road will be closed all day this Wednesday, November 26.
Contractors for Laois County Council are busy replacing an underground road drainage gully that has become blocked outside a Chinese restaurant. Local access is permitted for residents and businesses which include the Leinster Express/Laois Live office.
The road is expected to be reopened by Wednesday evening.
