Portarlington swimmer Nicole Turner will take to the water in Melbourne, Australia tomorrow as she competes at the Para Swimming World Series event.
The paralympian, who holds a Paralympic silver medal from Tokyo 2021, will be hopeful of another successful season in the water. Her first swim will be on Friday in the 50m Butterfly followed by the 100m Breaststroke. Turner will be hopeful of making it through the heats and into the Finals of both events. On Saturday, she will compete in the Women's 200m Individual Medley as well as the 400m Freestyle.
In 2016, Turner competed in five events at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. Her best placing was fifth in the 50m butterfly. She was the youngest member of Team Ireland and was chosen to be the flag-bearer for the closing ceremony.
