Cillin Hoey receiving his Award in Athlone
Cillín Hoey from Portarlington was presented with his 2022 national Juvenile star award by Athletics Ireland on Saturday March 4 in Athlone.
Cillín, who runs for the Emo/Rath Ac, was selected as the Juvenile Athlete of the year for Laois for his exceptional achievements in 2022. Hoey won four National titles, a bronze national medal and numerous Leinster titles.
On Sunday March 5, the first-year from Colaiste Iosagain got his indoor season off to a great start with a Gold medal win in the U15 boys 60m sprint hurdles.
