There were joyous scenes in Dublin's Westin Hotel on Thursday evening as Laois Sports Partnership were chosen as the Local Sports Partnership of the Year at an award ceremony hosted by the Federation of Irish Sport.
Laois LSP Chairperson Naeem Iqbal collected the award on behalf of the organisation.
Other winners on the night included the National Governing Body of the Year which went the way of Swim Ireland while Best Sports Sponsorship went to Electric Ireland for their continuous sponsorship of the GAA Minor Championships ‘This is Major’.
