Laois' Cian Reddy has officially turned his hand to the world of the professional boxing after he signed a management deal with Ian Gaughran Boxing.
Reddy had a wonderful amateur boxing career that saw him travel to many different countries. He is also a product of the Portlaoise Boxing Club that has seen its fair share of talented boxers go on to have illustrious careers.
Taking to his social media to announce the news, Cian Reddy had this to say: "Delighted to announce I have officially turned professional signing a management deal With @ian_gaughran_boxing. I had a great amateur career boxing and travelling all over the world.
"However, it was always my childhood dream to turn professional. There is so many people to thank , firstly I want to thank my family, friends and sponsors for all their support throughout the years.
"I want to thank Portlaoise Boxing Club and everyone involved for everything. They done everything for me as an Amateur where I have been boxing since a child. Amazing memories for life and I’ll always be grateful.
"Going forward, I will now be coached by @waynewoods86 in Leeds and @airijus_pt in @unit3healthandfitness Naas. Lastly, a massive thank you to everyone for their constant support. I hope you can all continue to support me throughout my career as a Professional. Really looking forward to getting the ball rolling over the next few months. Debut date - To Be Announced Soon," the post read.
