The group was from Timahoe and the surrounding areas

Fr David Vard, Parish Priest for Stradbally, Timahoe and Vicarstown, became the first PP of the parish to run a full marathon as he and 11 other parishioners from Timahoe and the surrounding areas made the trip to Waterford on Sunday, June 23 to take part in the Waterford Viking Marathon.

Some of the group done the full marathon alongside Fr Vard with others partaking in the half marathon. He recorded a chip time of 5:00:53 while his gun time was 5:04:33. It was a great success for him and the parishioners on the day with them returning to Headen's Tower Inn in Timahoe for some well-needed refreshments. USE ARROWS OR NEXT BUTTON TO SEE MORE PICTURES
