IN PICTURES: Stage 3 of world-famous Ras na mBan takes place in Laois

The race began in Portlaoise, climbed through the Slieve Bloom Mountains, and finished in Mountrath

Ireland’s top female road racing cyclists went wheel to wheel with riders from across Europe on the 104km third stage through the Slieve Bloom Mountains to Mountrath on Friday afternoon. Friday's Stage 3 of Rás na mBan got underway with a ceremonial start from Laois County Council Áras An Chontae in Portlaoise this morning at 11:10 am. The stage took riders through Stradbally, Emo, Mountmellick, and Clonaslee before they took on the iconic climb “The Cut”. Here's a gallery of pictures supplied to the Leinster Express/ Laois Live.
