Over 1,300 runners took to the start line of the annual Streets of Portlaoise 5K run on St Patrick’s Day morning. The race began on the Mountrath Road before heading down Main Street. Runners then turned left at the library onto the Ridge Road, before turning left again onto Greenmill Lane and passing Dunnes Stores on the Mountmellick Road.
