The event showcased the remarkable diversity of Portlaoise College’s student body. With over 30 nationalities represented, the campus was a tapestry of colours, languages, traditions and most importantly, Food.

School Principal Noel Daly said the event served as a testament to the college's commitment to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.

"Intercultural Day is a reflection of the tapestry that is Portlaoise College. The event was organised by Home School Liaison, Sean O'Neill, who emphasised the educational value of the Intercultural Day.

"Intercultural Day is an opportunity for our students to gain a deeper understanding of the world around them. It's a chance to learn about various cultures, share experiences, and have some tasty treats from around the globe. As you can see from the photos, the school hall was awash with colour and style and congratulations to the students who put in a massive effort in representing their countries," said Mr O’Neill.
