There are big celebrations in Stradbally this weekend as the 60th National Steam Rally is underway. The traditional parade through the main street took place on Saturday evening with a street carnival and family entertainers for all to enjoy. This year the steam committee have injected new thrills, a lot of live music and a campsite, to celebrate their birthday, not least being the biggest display possibly ever in Ireland of 68 large engines and 25 model engines. Stradbally native and photographer Michael Scully went along to the parade for the Leinster Express / Laois Live to capture the sights on camera. To see more of his pictures tap NEXT or ARROW.
