"We’re looking forward to welcoming 85,000 concertgoers to Stradbally Hall, County Laois for Electric Picnic 2025," Inspector Ralph Homes of the Laois-Offaly Roads Policing Unit announced.

"A major traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the event. Full details of this can be found on Garda.ie and the official Electric Picnic social media channels.

Official routes are fully signposted and staffed as you approach Stradbally and the event site. Please follow these routes and the directions provided — they are the quickest and safest way to travel," he said.

"Do not rely on Sat Nav devices near Stradbally, as this will cause unnecessary delays."

Laois Gardaí urge all motorists to allow extra time for their journeys and to take regular breaks if travelling long distances.

"Always wear your seatbelt, never use your mobile phone while driving and never drive while intoxicated," Mr Homes urged.

"Gardaí will be conducting checkpoints throughout the festival to detect drivers under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Driving while impaired puts lives at risk and will not be tolerated."

With over 80,000 picnickers expected to descend upon Stradbally this Thursday and Friday, Laois is gearing up for a hectic weekend.

Whether you are camping and looking for weather updates and stage times, or at home wanting to see the latest updates, the Leinster Express team will be on site bringing you everything as it happens.
