The Portarlington Coder Dojo presentations were held on Saturday, April 26 in the local secondary school, Colaiste Iosagain.
Pupils and parents were present to receive recognition of their participation over the last number of months and to demonstrate the projects that they have been working on. "Since 2012 Port CoderDojo has welcomed youths to learn coding - we encourage STEM learning and are expanding to STEAM," said the organisers. Also in attendance on the morning were local Councillors Padraig Fleming, Cathaoirleach of Laois County Council, Cllr Aidan Mullins and Cllr Vivienne Phelan.
