Planning permission has been granted to Nua Healthcare Services Limited for three care units on the Laois/Kildare border.

The project on Lea Road, Portarlington has an estimated construction value of over €700,000, according to Construction Information Services database.

Two existing steel sheds on the site will be removed for the construction of single occupancy, single-storey residential care units.

Each unit will have an individual gross floor area of 65 square metres within two standalone buildings with gross floor areas of 147 sq m and 74 sq m respectively to the rear of the main residential care unit.

Landscaping, electric vehicle charging stations and bicycle parking are included in the plans.
