Over 150 Laois ESB customers are without power in Portarlington.
ESB Networks have said that power is expected to be restored to the 158 customers by 4pm, Tuesday July 29.
"We apologise for the loss of supply," the service announced.
"We are carrying out essential improvement / maintenance works in your area and will restore power as quickly as possible."
Power has been out in the vicinity since 10am on Tuesday.
