A month of traffic restrictions planned for busy Laois road

The temporary traffic management is taking place between 8am and 6pm

Laois County Council has announced planned traffic restrictions at a junction in Portarlington for a month. 

The temporary traffic management on the busy Laois road will begin at the Junction of Bracklone Street and Canal Road on the R420 in Portarlington from Thursday, November 6.  The traffic management will be in place from 8am to 6pm until December 5, 2025.  

The Council said the work is taking place to facilitate the junction tightening works and the installation of a bus stop. 

They stated that any objections or observations about the work on the road can be emailed to: activetravel@laoiscoco.ie and copied to niall@towerltd.ie
