Aldi to launch brand new revamped store in Portarlington

People in Portarlington and surrounding areas are getting excited for the reveal of the revamped Aldi store in the town.

The premises closed for refurbishments on January 17 and the new revamped premises including an extension officially  opens this week.

The new development will consist of an extension of the existing single storey foodstore, including off-licence use, by 264 sq metres and minor extension of 22 sq metres to provide a meeting room.

The total floor area of the store will increase from 1,460 sq metres of to 1,746 sq metres.

The proposed development includes a new canopy, a new store entrance and a new illuminated double board poster sign towards the entrance lobby.

There will also be additional car parking spaces from 94 to 100 as well as landscaping on the site.

The revamp has also led to the revamp creation of new positions.

The ribbon will be cut at Thursday, January 25.
