Uisce Éireann has advised that the roadworks on the N80 Coote Street in Portlaoise are expected to be completed on Friday evening, October 18.
This is due to reinstatement works being carried out on the busy road after the utility company was connecting water works to a new housing development this week.
"Following traffic management at Coote Street in Portlaoise on Wednesday and Thursday this week to facilitate new services connections, reinstatement works are currently in place until 6.30pm today (Friday)," said a spokesperson for Uisce Éireann.
TFI Local Link also reminded customers that due to the road works the 834 Portlaoise to Roscrea service will not be able to pick up at the Train Station bus stop on Friday, October 18.
"Please go to the relevant JFL Avenue stop where the bus will wait until Train Station departure times," they advised.
